Peter Tolhurst, Principal - Real Estate Australia

Peter began his career twenty years ago with a philosophy of work hard, do the right thing by everyone with straight honest advice, and to be enthusiastic about what you do. Nothing has changed.

Peter worked for a large Canberra real estate agency before founding Real Estate Australia in 2001 with his partner Fiona, whom is also a director of the company.

Peter has extensive experience being responsible for selling hundreds of millions of dollars of property and land in the Canberra market.

He has immense expertise in new home sales and construction and enjoys a reputation with many of Canberra’s builders for successfully selling their project homes and helping buyers find and build that dream home.

His extensive knowledge and his advice is often relied upon and trusted in the Building Industry by builders wanting to sell their homes. He has developed relationships with many of Canberra’s leading builders over his twenty year career that still goes on today.

Peter and Real Estate Australia are also active members of the housing Industry Association.

Peter believes the major key to his success is that he is passionate about what he does, he has good people working around him and as an independent agent free of the constraints of a franchise he has the ability to develop new ideas into proven techniques to better serves his clients interests in property.

He is also a techno junkie and is always on the look out for new knew technology that will help make his life and business more efficient.

Peter is always willing to share his extensive knowledge of the Canberra property market and to give advice on any property matter, to anyone who seeks it.

Fiona finds the most suitable tenants for your property and involves you in the process by keeping you informed of the applicants, the processing of applications, and assists with the final decision of tenants.

Fiona’s success has come as a result of working both business hours and outside of business hours including weekends for landlords properties to be viewed at times which suit prospective tenants, hard work and great communicational skills on behalf of her landlords, always working to ensure that their properties are managed personally and to the highest level.

With the use of computerised property management systems and electronic banking Fiona is able to keep an informed account of all communications, administration, maintenance work and tenants records. Landlord disbursements are made mid month and at the end of the month for the convenience of our landlords with a statement issued monthly.
